About the Artist
A native of Washington State Cory Goulet lives and works in the Everett area. Her medium of choice is pastels and acrylics.
Over the years she has developed her own style of painting through a mixture of painting and drawing classes as well as various workshops with many well known professional pastel and acrylic artists. She has primarily focused with pastels over the past five years.
Her subject matter is predominantly in landscapes, abstracts and still life, all the while seeking out new techniques and new forms of expression. She has an undeniable desire to learn about art and art techniques- and to take that knowledge and create something truly vibrant and thought provoking. She has exhibited in numerous shows throughout Washington State.
Cory paints both en plein air locally and abroad. Art is her creative outlet. For inspiration when not in Washington you can often find her out of the studio and traveling abroad, a few favorite places of inspiration include the Tuscan region of Italy and the United Kingdom to include Scotland.
